FCA Guide & Outfitter Partner

Partner with the FCA
The FCA partners with fishing guides and outfitters to help recognize the memorable catches that make a trip special.
Whether you guide day trips, multi-day adventures, or hosted outfitter packages, FCA can provide your guests with an additional way to celebrate their experience on the water. Through an FCA partnership, qualifying catches may be recognized through independent certification.
Partnerships are tailored to each guide or outfitter. FCA will work with you to confirm eligible species, locations, participation details, and any applicable arrangements before your program begins.
Help your guests recognize a catch worth remembering
A trophy fish can be the highlight of a fishing trip. Partner with the Fish Certification Authority to help your guests document that achievement and submit their qualifying catches for free digital certification. The FCA Guide and Lodge Partner Program is for fishing guides, lodges, outfitters, and charter operators that want to make catch recognition part of the guest experience.

How the partnership works
Tell us about your business
Send us your business name, location, services, and the species your guests commonly target. We will review your inquiry and discuss participation.
Receive your partner materials
Once participation is confirmed, use the FCA materials in your lodge, on your website, in booking emails, or during guest briefings.
Help guests document their catches
Introduce the applicable trophy standards before the trip. When a potentially qualifying fish is caught, help the angler obtain clear measurement photographs and record the catch details.
Direct guests to submit
Guests submit through their own FCA accounts. FCA reviews the evidence and issues certification when the catch meets its requirements.
What we ask of partners
Help guests understand the applicable size threshold and measurement method. Encourage careful fish handling, clear photographs, and accurate catch information.
Use the FCA partner logo as supplied and describe the program accurately. Guides and lodge staff can help guests prepare a submission, while FCA remains responsible for certification decisions.
Frequently asked questions
(1) Is certification free for our guests?
Yes. FCA provides free digital certification for qualifying catches that are approved.
(2) Does the guide or lodge issue the certificate?
No. Your team helps guests understand the requirements and document their catches. FCA reviews submissions and issues certificates.
(3) Can we submit on a guest’s behalf?
The standard process is for anglers to submit through their own accounts and complete the required declarations and permissions. Contact FCA before arranging another submission process.
(4) Does every large fish qualify?
Eligibility depends on the species, location, applicable threshold, and supporting evidence. Check the current requirements before advising a guest that a catch may qualify.
(5) Does partnership certify our guiding or accommodation services?
The FCA partner designation identifies participation in the catch-certification program. It does not assess or certify guiding, accommodation, or other business services.
